Well Child


Well Child Clinic is a complete program of health exams for children from birth through age 18, based on the
recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics  Our Well Child Clinic is staffed by a Pediatric Nurse
Practitioner. Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (PNPs) are very special health care providers who are dedicated to improving
children's health. PNPs have advanced education in pediatric nursing and health care and they serve children and
families in an extensive range of practice settings.



We offer regular exams, immunizations and other screening tests help to keep a child healthier and help protect against
many childhood illnesses. Problems with growth and development can be detected early and treated or referred to other
resources.

Some of the services available through Well Child

Provide health maintenance care for children, including well child examinations  
Perform routine developmental screenings  
Blood tests for anemia  
Blood tests for lead screening
Diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses  
Provide anticipatory guidance regarding common child health and behavioral concerns
Safety and Injury Prevention Resource
Vision and Hearing Screening
Referral source to other agencies



The following is the recommended schedule of Well Child Visits:

2 weeks-1 month, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, and 18 months of age

Then once a year after the age of two.

Children without insurance or insurance that does not cover well child care and families who prefer this health care
alternative are encouraged to enroll.
